Flag Day Parade
Honor Old Glory

Place: Ocean Shores, WA
Spend a fun-filled day in Ocean Shores. Saturday morning, June 8th at 11:00 a.m., watch over 60 floats and entries honoring Old Glory in one of the only Flag Day Parades in Western Washington. This year's grand marshal is Mandy Schendel, 2013 Miss Washington. Participating in the parade will be floats and marching bands from Ocean Shores and neighboring communities. Details of the parade will be added to this site as information becomes available.

The Five Star Dealerships Sand & Sawdust Festival
Sand Sculptors and Chainsaw Carvers Compete
Date: June 21 - 23, 2013
Place: Ocean Shores Convention Center & on the beach
Castles! Mermaids! Pelicans! Bears! The fun starts Friday, June 21st and runs through Sunday, June 23rd. Admission is free.
Come to the beach to watch Master, Intermediate, and Novice Sand Sculpting Teams compete for over $7,000 in cash prizes. JOIN IN!!! Sign up for Free Lessons, then register a team of your family or friends in the Friends and Family Division and vie for Gift Baskets for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. Register Friday, June 21st from 10:00 - 5:00 at the ACT Booth located in the Ocean Shores Convention Center or Saturday Morning Before 9:00 AM at the Beach. Free Sand Sculpting Lessons conducted by Bert Adams, Sand Sculpting 101 College Instructor, will be held Friday on the Beach from 4:30 until 6:00 and Sunday at the Convention Center "Sand Pit" at 12:00. Team Sand Competition takes place on Saturday, June 22, beginning with check-in and plot assignment from 7:00 to 9:00AM. The Contest begins at 9:00 AM and Culminates with the Final Judging at 3:30PM. The Awards Ceremony will be Saturday, June 22nd, At the Stage in the Convention Center at 5:30 PM.
Watch the Ongoing Singles Sand Sculpting Competition at the Convention Center starting at 10:00 AM Friday, June 21st, and continuing until Sunday at 12:00 noon. The Public votes continuously for the winning Sculptor. Check out our newest Contest, "The Children's Quick Sand Castle Competition" Sunday, June 23 at 1:00 PM at the Convention Center Sand Pit immediately following the Sunday Free Lessons. Registration for the Children's Contest is on site, Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants'.

Meanwhile, at the Ocean Shores Convention Center Master Chainsaw Carvers will continuously demonstrate their skills as they compete for Prizes and Awards. Competition takes place from 10:00 - 4:00 Friday and Saturday and from 10:00 - 1:30 on Sunday. Popular Auctioneer, Eric Bjella will conduct The Auctions at the end of each day's competition. Here is your chance to bid on a Carved Masterpiece for your home.
Entertainment Daily featuring a truly exciting and entertaining Country and Western Group, Peter Jordan and North West Roads on Stage in the Convention Center, 1:30 - 3:00 Friday and Saturday, 12:30 to 2:00 Sunday, Always Free Admission.
Additionally for your enjoyment over 110 Food and Craft Vendors will be at the Convention Center. Also the Latest in Ford Motor Company Designs will be on display for your enjoyment.

Ocean Shores "Old Fashion Labor Day Picnic and Paddle A Thon"
Fun and activities for all ages
Date: Saturday, August 31, 2013 11:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Place: North Bay Park, Ocean Shores, WA
The business community of Ocean Shores is sponsoring the Ocean Shores "Old Fashion Labor Day Picnic and Paddle A Thon" on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at North Bay Park. Picnic Hours are from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed by the Rubber Duckie Race to benefit local charities at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free!!
Paddling & rowing enthusiasts are invited to bring their kayaks and canoes to participate in the boating activities at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All human-powered water craft invited.
Bring a blanket and your picnic basket or take advantage of the many food vendors that will be on hand. There will be something fun for all ages at this gala event.
We look forward to seeing you at this year’s SMASHING program! Be sure to mark your calendar with a big check mark for August 1st!

Ocean Shores Antique & Collectible Show
Over 80 Booths of Antiques & Vintage Collectibles
Date: Feb 8-9, 2014
Place: Ocean Shores Convention Center
The 12th Annual Ocean Shores Antique & Collectible Show will take place February 8th and 9th, 2014 at the Ocean Shores Convention Center. Show hours are Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $3.00. Over eighty vendors will offer a wide variety of antiques including dolls, glass, furniture, American Art pottery, vintage baseball cards, postcards, and much, much more. Hourly Door Prizes. Available on site will be food booths and Roy's Glass and Crystal Repair Service.
Again this year, experts will be on hand to identify and evaluate your treasures. They include Randy and Debbie Coe, authors of "Elegant Glass; Early Depression & Beyond", Grays Harbor's own Mike Gyde of People's Emporiam in Hoquiam, WA; and Phyllis Courtney. Evaluations are $3.00 per item and are restricted to items that you can carry. Please no fine art or gem stones. "Limit of three items to be appraised per person at one time"
The show's sponsor ACT (Action Committee for Tourism), a non-profit organization, has put together another quality antique show in Ocean Shores.
***Silent Auction - Each Vendor will hand pick one item, which will be displayed prominently at their booth. The Auction times are from 10:00 AM on Saturday until 12:00 noon on Sunday. This is your chance to bid on a item from the Vendor of your choice for a quality Antique or Collectible at a fraction of the original selling price. Please register at the ACT Booth for your free bidding number when you arrive at the show. Don't forget to check back at noon Sunday to see if your the low bidder. Good Luck and have fun.
***Sunday Afternoon Lecture, "What you need to know as a collector", at the end of the talk there will be a question and answer session, this is your chance to find out all about the tricks of the trade, Admission is Free
***What Is It, Stop by the ACT Booth and place your guess at identifying a mystery antique, there is a prize waiting for the winning guess!
